Maldives to Receive Boost from Qatar Airways: A New Wave in Island Travel

Qatar Airways is set to boost its flight service to the Maldives starting from December 13th this year. The plan includes an introduction of seven additional weekly flights to Male that will bring the total number of weekly flights to 28 from the previous 21.

Accordingly, flight QR672 will depart Doha at 01.35 am and arrive at Velana International Airport in Male at 8.15 am local time. The return flight QR673 will leave Male at 8.15 pm and reach Doha at 11.10 pm local time.

The increased flight plan is part of the airline’s larger strategy to meet increased air travel demands and enhance its global connectivity. Consequently, the plan will also provide a boost in arrival numbers for Maldives at the end of the year, as many look to enjoy the holiday season in Maldives villas that offer the best amenities and benefits for island vacationing, like Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort.
