Maldives Reiterates Its Visa-Free Travel Request from the European Union

As reported on Schengen Visa News on the 28th of October 2022, the request was made during the third meeting of Maldivian and European senior officials held on the 25th of October 2022. The Maldives believes that such a step could be the beginning of strengthening the ties further between the people of the Maldives and the European Union. Therefore, travelling visa-free to these 26 countries of the European Union would be a victorious mark for the island nation, if granted in the near future.
