Maldives Seeks Ease of Thai Visa for Businessmen – Resorts retain the drive in Tourism Sector

In an attempt to boost trade ties, the Maldivian government is now seeking to ease the Thai Visa process for its businessmen. Maldives, with its exotic terrain and coastal regions which comprise of up to almost 99% of the territory, has managed to upkeep its reputation as being the home of many luxury resorts that are known for their lavish comfort such as Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas among countless others. With its extensive access to explore the underwater wonders of the Indian Ocean the island is well renowned for hosting some of the best Maldivian resorts, some of which happen to be located within a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. These resorts in turn serve to further propel the tourism sector of the island. The trade initiative was announced on 27 March 2016 and is expected to further fortify the entrepreneurial ambitions of the Republic’s business community.
