Maldives Sees 13% Rise in Tourist Arrivals – A Wave of New Visitors

The Maldives is experiencing a rebound in tourism with a 13% increase in arrivals this month, reaching 109,000 tourists. This rise follows a recent decline, with June seeing 123,000 visitors and a slight dip in May.

The country aims to attract two million tourists this year, requiring more than 170,000 visitors per month for the remainder of the year. With 1.1 million tourists so far in 2024, compared to one million last year, the Maldives is well on track.

China leads as the largest source of tourists, followed by Russia and the United Kingdom. Hotels and resorts, such as Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, continue to provide exceptional services and attractive Maldives resort deals, further boosting the Maldives’ appeal as a premier travel destination.
