The new T20 World Champions, the Indian cricket team was invited to celebrate their victory in the Maldives by the country’s tourism association and its marketing and public relations corporation. The Indian team bagged the trophy in Barbados after playing against South Africa. India won by seven runs in the finals played on June 29th.
The CEO and Managing Director of MMPRC, Ibrahim Shiuree, and Secretary General of MATI, Ahmed Nazeer, expressed their enthusiasm for hosting the team, which returned to India last Thursday. This invitation also emphasizes on the cultural and sporting ties between India and the Maldives. Shiuree and Nazeer promised the team an experience of a lifetime with loads of memorable moments.
