Maldives to host Indian Ocean Island Games in 2023

2023 is going to be a big year for the Maldives as they have been selected to host the Indian Ocean Island Games. The games occur every four years, and the very first edition of the games took place in 1979. The competing islands are Mauritius, Seychelles, Madagascar, Comoros, Reunion, Maldives and Mayotte. The games have been previously hosted thrice by the Reunion Islands and Mauritius and twice each by Seychelles and Madagascar.

Those planning to visit the Maldives during this time must make their luxury holiday in Maldives booking at hotels such as Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas as early as possible, so as to avoid disappointment.
