As per the statistics released at the end of August 2023, Russia has become the top source market for the country after overtaking India which slipped into second place. The top five in terms of source markets were rounded off by China, the United Kingdom and Germany respectively. With more travellers expected in the months to come, the Maldives remains well on course to reach its year-end goal of recording 1.9 million tourists.
