Maldives Triumphs in Two Categories at Japan’s Marine Diving Awards – Recognised for Outstanding Marine Destinations

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) proudly announces the Maldives’ notable achievements in the “Marine Diving Awards 2023.” Voted by divers nationwide in Japan, the Maldives secured 3rd place in the “Best Area Overseas Division” and an impressive 2nd place in the “Best Overseas Destination I Want to Visit for the First Time.” This recognition at Japan’s premier diving event, the “Marine Dive Fair,” underscores the Maldives’ allure in the diving community.

The Maldives, renowned for its stunning coral reefs and diverse marine species, continues to captivate diving enthusiasts worldwide. With its numerous Maldives scuba diving resorts the likes of The Residence Maldives Dhigurah offering unparalleled experiences, the region stands out as a top destination for underwater adventures. The significant increase in Japanese tourist arrivals, which saw a remarkable 310% rise from January to March, further highlights the revitalisation of the Maldives’ tourism industry. This achievement at the Marine Diving Awards serves as a testament to the Maldives’ enduring appeal and exceptional diving opportunities.
