Mandurah – WA’s No. 1 Day Trip Capital Conquers Top Tourism Town Awards

Mandurah, a town that is a mere 50-minute ride from Pan Pacific Perth was named Western Australia’s number one tourism town in 2022 at the Top Tourism Town Awards. The recognition achieved by Mandurah acts as an advantage for hotels in Perth CBD as potential vacation lodgings in WA. As reported in the Western Australian in June, the victory did not just come with a title but a reward that offered a 25,000 AUD airtime package to promote tourism in the area on GWN7, a regional TV network.

As stated by the mayor of Mandurah, Rhys Williams, the reformation of Visit Mandurah five years prior has been able to make a significant change in the number of visitors in town as well as in the Peel region, earning recognition as Western Australia’s number one day trip capital.
