Amidst much festivities, the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2020 ushered in the new year in the Lion City. As part of the celebrations, a multi-sensory 90-minute show was held and incorporated 3D surround sound, electrifying acts, laser displays, synchronised fireworks and even a 500-drone performance. This light and music spectacular called “2019: A Space Odyssey”, took place at The Float @ Marina Bay close to Naumi Hotel Singapore; those who attended and stayed at hotels near Marina Bay were able to catch this amazing show and ring in the new year in style.
The Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2020 featured many other events in the city as well. One of the highlights was the “Let’s Celebrate 2020” countdown concert hosted by MediaCorp which featured a number of artistes including Jasmine Sokko, Benjamin Kheng and Jarrell Huang. The night was capped off by a firework display at midnight as the new year and decade dawned.
