Marrakech Tourism Booms as Autumn Arrives, Luxury Riads in High Demand

– Experience the magic of Marrakech as the city welcomes travellers from around the world

Marrakech is preparing for a busy autumn season following a record-breaking influx of visitors this year. By the end of September, Morocco had welcomed 15 million tourists, a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the tourism ministry.

The mild autumn weather is encouraging travellers to explore the city’s historic streets and surrounding landscapes. Visitors are increasingly drawn to boutique riads, such as Riad Elegancia, which offer an authentic experience of Marrakech’s rich culture and heritage. Traditional riads, alongside luxury hotels and fine dining, continue to support the local economy and provide employment opportunities for artisans and hospitality staff.

Marrakech accounts for over a third of national tourism, blending culture, heritage, and modern comforts. For those planning a trip, discovering the medina and vibrant souks remains among the best things to do in Marrakech.
