Marwar Festival 2014 – Glorious Cultural Event in Jodhpur
The beautiful city of Jodhpur came to life on 7th and 8th of October 2014 during the Marwar Festival originally known as the “Maand Festival” that commemorates fallen heroes of the region. Many colourful cultural performances and music and dance items were performed on the full moon poya day as it was the tradition in the yester years. Guests staying at The Gateway Hotel Jodhpur, a well renowned hotel in Jodhpur had the opportunity to witness this great festival which was held in the Umaid Bhawan Palace, Mehrangarh Fort and Mandore.
There were fun activities such as camel tattoo show, puppet show and magic shows which took place at the venue allowing visitors to not only witness the dances that portrays legends and myths as well the romantic lives of the past rulers but also a chance to engage in exciting activities and competitions.
