Mauritius and Saudia Forge New Travel Partnership at ATM 2024 – Discover Mauritius: A New Horizon for Saudi Travellers!

Mauritius and Saudi Arabia have strengthened their travel ties with a new agreement between Saudia Holidays and the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, signed at ATM Dubai. This memorandum of understanding aims to boost tourist arrivals from Saudi Arabia to Mauritius, leveraging both entities’ marketing and promotional strengths.

Saudia Airlines currently operates three direct weekly flights from Jeddah to Mauritius, facilitating easy access to the island nation. Arved von zur Muehlen, Chief Commercial Officer of Saudia Airlines, emphasized the partnership’s goal to introduce Saudi travelers to Mauritius’s stunning beauty, rich culture, and local hospitality.

Arvind Bundhun, Director of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority, highlighted the MoU as a milestone for expanding Mauritius’ reach in the Saudi market. The cooperation includes creating dedicated Mauritius landing pages with curated travel packages, staff training programs, collaborative digital marketing, and consumer engagement initiatives.

Luxurious Mauritius resorts and other establishments like Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas are set to welcome the influx of Saudi tourists, offering unparalleled experiences on the island.
