Mauritius is a beautiful country that’s heavily dependent on the tourism sector, and the whole economy was challenged when the COVID 19 pandemic hit the world. The country is taking measures to further strengthen its tourism sector, and they have paid their special focus on the vaccination program.
The tourism officials have decided to provide free vaccinations to long-term visa holders (Premium Travel Visa- up to 12 months). Residents of Mauritius having work, residential and occupational permits are also eligible for this free vaccination program, and so are those who are on long holidays stay at 5-star hotels in Mauritius the likes of The Residence Mauritius. Once the expanded vaccination program is also done, the country will focus on full reopening of its borders to international travellers under a proper tracking and monitoring system.
