Mauritius Plans to Reopen Borders – Nation on Track to Achieve Herd Immunity

With the on-going COVID-19 vaccination drive in Mauritius, the country is on track to achieve herd immunity which will be a key precondition for it to restart tourism; this was according to an online article published on 24th March 2021 on the Anadolu Agency (AA) website which was quoting a Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority statement. It further went on to reveal that authorities are expected to ease the current travel restrictions in phases beginning from the end of June this year.

This will no doubt be a big boost to the tourism industry which will hope to bounce back when the borders are reopened which is bound to draw travellers once more. 5-star hotels in Mauritius are popular with tourists around the world and properties including The Residence Mauritius by Cenizaro have enhanced safety and cleaning protocols in place to ensure safe stays.
