Mauritius Puts an Ends to All Covid Travel Restrictions – Tourism Industry Anticipated to Blossom

Mauritius recently announced a change in their Covid travel restrictions. Those visiting the island are not required to undergo an on-arrival Covid- 19 testing. The change came into effect on 1st July 2022 and replaced the previous regulation which required vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers to undergo PCR testing upon arriving on the island. Additionally, the easing of the restrictions no longer requires unvaccinated travellers to self-isolate in their hotels for seven days before undertaking a second test.

Mauritius’ safety protocols and measures have been ranked number one in the world. The fact that over 90% of the islanders are vaccinated with both doses and two third of the adults aged 18 have received the booster shot would vouch for this effect.
