The Buddhist devotees who live in Cambodia celebrate Meak Bochea Day on the third month of the Khmer calendar. The date usually falls in February on a full moon day. This special day is a commemoration of the final sermon given by Lord Buddha before his death. It is said that 1250 listeners were present during the teaching that happened over 2500 years ago. All the listeners had already reached enlightenment and were ordained by Lord Buddha himself.
