Mekong delta development plan for 2021-2030 approved – An innovative change is initiated

Mekong is aiming to become one of the biggest tourist hotspots in the region and in order to achieve this, the Prime Minister has approved a plan for the development of the destination. The plan is set to be implemented from 2021 to 2030. By the end of this period, Mekong will be quite a popular city.

The Mekong Delta will be focusing on producing the highest quality agricultural products along with logistics, trade and eco-tourism. Solar power projects will also be Ca Mau Peninsula and gas-fired power projects are initiated in Bac Lieu, Kien Giang and Long An. Tourism will aim for the concept of agro-rural tourism, maritime tourism and eco-tourism. This concept can already be experienced on a luxury Mekong River cruise by brands like Mekong Kingdoms.
