According to Euromonitor International’s, Sustainable Travel Index for 2023, Melbourne is the world’s most sustainable city; this was put in the spotlight on the Time Out website on 23rd August 2023 which revealed that the comprehensive analysis featured the evaluation of 56 different factors with Victoria’s capital topping the final list. Amongst the sustainable highlights mentioned was that over 40% of its electricity comes from renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power.
