With Australia having reopened its international borders for fully vaccinated travellers in February this year, popular destinations like Melbourne in Victoria are once more welcoming tourists. As part of the entry requirements, such travellers must show proof of a negative result of a COVID-19 PCR test taken before departing to Australia; within 24 hours of arriving, they must take a PCR or rapid antigen test and quarantine themselves at a private accommodation provider till they receive a negative result. To encourage more domestic and foreign travellers, the city also launched ‘Art After Dark Melbourne’ from 13th to 15th May 2022 with participating museums and galleries offering late-night programmes. Amongst the key venues were the National Gallery of Victoria, State Library of Victoria and Fed Square within easy reach of properties like Avani Melbourne Box Hill Residences; those based at such a Box Hill hotel can look forward to safe stays too with stringent health and hygiene measures in place.
