Melbourne Ready for New Year Ahead – Events to Continue as Scheduled

With the dawning of 2022, Melbourne is preparing for what the year has in store and will be hopeful that lockdowns are in the past. At one point, it was the city that had spent the most days in lockdown in the world; it was thus understandable that the lifting of restrictions a minute before midnight on 21st October 2021 was met with much jubilation; city residents took to social media to celebrate this ‘freedom’ while people could be heard clapping, tooting car horns and yelling in delight as well. The end of lockdown also meant that retailers, cafes and bars could open under the given guidelines.

For those visiting the city and staying at a centrally located serviced apartment, Melbourne events can also be enjoyed in January 2022. These include Frozen the Musical at Her Majesty’s Theatre (till 23rd January) close to Avani Melbourne Central Residences and Jurassic World by Brickman at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (till the end of January).
