Minor Hotels’ Path to Touchless Stay

Many hotels in the hotel industry suffered a massive blow from the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, even as the world recovers from a virus that affected almost every country, new and improved safety and hygiene methods and learning to live with pandemic possibilities is something that all industries must now consider.

This is what Minor Hotels is doing with their latest ventures, according to the senior vice president for Asia, Thomas Meier. In a media video conference back in May, the senior vice president stated that the international hotel group would focus on fewer guests and less staff as their properties begin operations across the globe. Strict hygiene regimes and training would be given to particularly the housekeeping department and the capacity in dining halls would be reduced by 30 to 40% to establish social distancing.
