Australia’s largest and most-loved community festival, the historic and ever-popular Moomba Festival kicked off once again with the usual jollification and merriment. The Moomba festival was held from 6th March to 9th March in the center of Melbourne spanning Birrarung Marr, Alexandra Gardens and the Yarra River. Travelers searching for a Melbourne serviced apartment around this area will find Citadines on Bourke Melbourne an ideal option as it is only 17 minutes distance away. The main highlight of the festival was as always the vibrant Moomba Parade which was held on the last day and featured a horde of colorful community designed floats, droves of talented performance troupes and many dance groups. Moomba Festival also had a line-up of entertainment as well as workshops, performances, face painting, animal displays and even thrill rides that were popular with the kids. On the 7th Saturday the night sky was lit alive by a spectacular display of fireworks.
