Starting 1st of May, Thailand eliminated the pre-arrival testing for visitors. Pre-arrival and on-arrival tests will no longer be necessary, regardless of the vaccination status of the visitor. However, fully vaccinated visitors can enter and travel with no quarantine plan required, while unvaccinated visitors will still need to follow a quarantine plan.
With Thailand finally lifting their restrictions, Khao Lak hotels are likely to have seen a heavy increase in foreign visitors, and the businesses are booming again. The accommodations in popular hotels and resorts such as Avani+ Khao Lak Resort are being reserved quite fast; therefore, it is recommended that foreign visitors book their accommodation well in advance. The tourism industry is on its way to a rapid recovery from the loss during the pandemic. The statistics from the development after the restrictions were eased show a positive future for tourism in Thailand.
