Most COVID-Related Travel Restrictions Removed in Thailand – Tourists Enjoy Easy Entry

Following the reopening of its international borders, Thailand has subsequently been reducing its COVID-19 travel restrictions including on-arrival PCR testing requirements making it easier than ever to visit the country. From 1st July 2022, the ‘Thailand Pass’ registration scheme that was in place was done away with as was the mandatory requirement for tourists needing to have health insurance coverage of at least US$10,000. Now, foreign travellers need to just show a certificate of a COVID-19 vaccination or negative result of a professional ATK or RT-PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of embarkation.

With most of the travel restrictions removed, tourists can easily enjoy holidays at the country’s popular destinations such as Phuket; resort options here including the likes of Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas also have stringent health and hygiene protocols in place ensuring guests have safe and worry-free stays as well.
