Music about China X Chinese Music Without Bounds is a music festival that is music to the ears of discerning ears of music lovers, who are adventurous enough to absorb modernism where even music is also concerned. It is a potpourri of Chinese modern orchestral music that will soothe your ears and calm your soul. Held at the Concert Hall, Hong Kong City Hall, it is scheduled for the 27th of February 2016 and will begin at 8 pm. Organized by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, it will showcase work from prominent musicians like Doming Lam’s on his Autumn Execution (1993); Peng Xiuwen’s As the Moon Rises; Zhao Jiping’s Raise the Red Lantern; Zhu Jian’er’s A Sorrowful Tune; Guo Wenjing’s Chou-Kong-Shan (Sorrowful, Desolate Mountain); Dirk Bosse’s Hallow-e’en Dances; and Liu Xing’s Symphony No. 2 for Chinese Orchestra.
