A special musical event held for a worthy cause, this year’s edition of Music for Myanmar 2018 showcased two well known Irish concert artistes, namely vocalist Shóna Henneberry and trumpeter Niall O’Sullivan. Organised by Link For Aid together with Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon, the concert titled “A Starry Night”, focused on raising funds for orphaned, deaf and disadvantaged children at a local orphanage in Dala.
Those in attendance at the concert held on 14th September at this hotel in Yangon had the chance to enjoy a unique style of music from these Irish artistes; performances encompassed jazz, classics, as well as popular hits, be it from the screen or the stage. Guest stars from Myanmar, Eaint Chit and Chit Kaung were in attendance, while the programme also featured fine dining, a fashion show and a raffle draw at the hotel’s Grand Ballroom.
