The Nallur Festival in Jaffna was majestically held in the month of August this year with the presence of several Hindu priests and the local community, marking it as a colourful series of events in the festival calendar of Sri Lanka. This festival is an annual event organized by the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil in Jaffna which is highly loved and cherished by the people who travel in Sri Lanka.
Although, after this festival came to an end after 25 consecutive days of vibrant processions, drumming, dancing, and self-mortification held in honour of the war god Skanda, local and foreign tourists still have the opportunity of visiting the kovil and explore all its stories with travel packages by agents the likes of Nkar Travel House. However, the next festival is also expected to be organized on a grander scale gifting a valuable experience for people of all religions and nationalities.
