Nallur Kandasamy Kovil is a popular attraction in Sri Lanka for locals as well as foreigners. Located in Jaffna, this kovil holds an annual festival that takes place in July or August every year. This year the festival will again be held on the first moon day, known as “Aadi Amavasai”. Hindu worshipers from across the island visit Jaffna and gather in the form of a procession during this period to take part in the festival and worship their Gods.
All locals or visitors can also witness this festival during this time; however, it is best to dress in appropriate clothing and be on your best behaviour, observing from a safe distance. A Sri Lanka car rental from a reputed rental service such as Malkey Rent A Car would be amongst the most convenient ways to travel to Jaffna these days.
