Colombo: The Finest in Healthcare
The National Healthcare Expo 2020 is the largest healthcare exhibition in Sri Lanka. Organised by Organising Committee of Medicare, and encompassing both the B2C and B2B sectors, this year’s event was held from March 6th to 8th at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall, Colombo. Raising awareness about proper healthcare was the expo’s chief goal and as such, it showcased the latest innovations and breakthroughs in patient treatment and disease detection among others. Additionally, the event served as a platform to promote international hospitals and a hub for international companies to meet local agents, suppliers, and personnel.
Attendees could also get free medical services – including health check-ups –from specialist doctors, as well as try out a variety of healthy foods and meal plans. The event had an approximate attendance of over 15,000, partly due to its location. The Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall is easily accessible via Sri Lanka’s modern road system, even if you’re staying out of Colombo like in Tangalle,hotels such as the Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort is less than an hour’s drive away.
