NDB Launches a Travel Card After Agreeing to a MOU with SLTDA – Enjoy Attractive Perks!

In a significant milestone, the National Development Bank (NDB) entered an MOU with the Sri Lankan Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) to introduce a tourist travel card in February. This exciting development means that visitors can top up the card with their default currency and enjoy perks from merchants registered under the SLTDA. The goal of this feature is to ease the tourist’s experience and improve the industry itself, as well as bring in much-needed Forex to the country.

The bank launched the card after receiving the green light following the required approvals and permissions. Foreign passport holders can obtain this card by opening an account with NDB or contacting SLTDA tour agents, before heading out to popular destinations such as the Wilpattu National Park. A stay at a Kalpitiya hotel such as the Dolphin Beach Resort before heading out on your safari gives you the chance to test out your card and inquire about any potential benefits.
