Negative PCR Report is No Longer Mandatory by the Maldives Immigration

Following the lockdowns and quarantine season of COVID-19, most travellers have begun globetrotting once again. The easing of COVID-19 restrictions has resulted in tourists seeking tropical escapes in the Indian Ocean, especially in the beautiful island nation of Maldives, to resorts like Hard Rock Hotel Maldives. As awarded by the World Travel Awards, the Maldives was recognised as the World’s Leading Destination of 2021 and 2022.

When travelling to the country it is important to refer to an Emboodhoo Lagoon area guide or a guide for any area of the Maldives that you wish to reach. The country requires travellers to submit the traveller declaration which was obtained within 72 hours of the flight time. According to the recent updates on Public Health Emergency regarding COVID-19, PCR result is no longer mandatory upon arrival or departure.
