Announced in February 2023, new appointments were made at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, located in the famed Empty Quarter, the largest sand desert in the world. Amongst the leading 5-star hotels in Abu Dhabi, the property announced the appointment of Jean-Paul Dantil as the new general manager. He joins with a wealth of industry experience under his belt and has already been involved in various initiatives; these include a takeover of the Souk Secrets retail space at the resort as well as beginning a partnership with Nat Bowen, a UK-based artist.
Another appointment that was announced recently was that of Marilu Olvera becoming the new resort manager. She has more than 20 years of experience in the international hospitality industry and has been tasked with guiding and overseeing the resort’s operations as well as ensuring optimal experiences for guests. She will also maintain and develop the high standards of this luxury desert resort which features 140 rooms, 53 pool villas and 14 suites as well as spa rituals, unique desert activities and diverse dining options.
