The development of the proposed airport on the north coast of Bali is expected to face a major delay due to the inability of the authorities to finalize the North-South toll road which is going to be the main supporting infrastructure for the airport to be constructed. According to the relevant parties, the construction of the toll road faces several issues with regards to the land acquisitions, and this may delay the airport construction by 2-3 years itself.
The construction idea of the new airport had lightened up hopes of Seminyak beach resort owners and they are sure to be disappointed with this news of discontinuation. Once the new Airport is up, it is not only expected to benefit luxury resorts the likes of Anantara Seminyak Bali Resort, but also budget options available in the country for budget travelers and backpackers from all over the world.
