New Fund to Support Business Tourism in Abu Dhabi – Promoting Corporate Events in the UAE

In a welcome move which is expected to attract more visitors, a new fund has been launched in Abu Dhabi to facilitate and support business tourism in the UAE. This was brought to light on the Business Traveller website on 4th April 2023 which went on to reveal that the fund was created following a partnership by two key entities; this was namely the ADNEC Group which operates the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre which is the Middle East’s largest exhibition venue and the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau which comes under the Department of Culture and Tourism.

The fund is on offer for events scheduled between 1st May 2023 and 31st December 2024 and applicants can now submit their proposals to seek support. Such initiatives are expected to help increase incentive travel and B2B events in the region thereby boosting arrivals too. The emirate also offers several key venues at resorts in Abu Dhabi for corporate events including meetings and conferences. Amongst such options are properties like Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara which features access to a standalone, state-of-the-art conference centre and a dedicated meetings coordinator along with leisure and recreational facilities.
