New Guidelines for Tourists Entering Abu Dhabi – Being Prepared For Travel

As Abu Dhabi eases border restrictions, new guidelines have been put into place. As of last month’s (17th January 2021) update, tourists from countries which were granted visas on arrival could enter. Before departing to this emirate, they must show a negative result for a COVID-19 PCR test taken within 96 hours of the flight. Once they land, they must go through thermal screening and submit to a PCR test again.

Those from destinations exempt from quarantine will need to self-isolate at their residence or a hotel till the result is delivered and take further PCR tests on day six and day twelve. If you are not exempt, you must self-isolate for 10 days and will be required to take another PCR test on day eight. Tourists can also look forward to safe stays when here; 5-star hotels in Abu Dhabi including properties like Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara utilise the latest sterilisation and disinfection technologies to ensure maximum health and hygiene standards.
