The beautiful regions of Queenstown and Central Otago are renowned wine destinations with lush vineyards and buzzing wineries that produce some of the world’s most sought-after wines. Thus, taking wine tourism to a whole new level, Queenstown and Central Otago are preparing to host a unique amongst-the-vines wine festival this spring. The events will be held in venues located in both Queenstown and Central Otago and for those who wished to attend the event and are in search of conveniently-located accommodation will find Anantara Vacation Club at Oaks Shores a most delightful abode as it is within 5 to 20 minutes distance to the Queenstown venues of The Winery tasting store, Gibbston’s Peregrine and Mt Edward wineries. Experience this prestigious hotel beforehand by reading the Vacation Club Review.

This fun and interactive, one-of-a-kind wine festival will give the chance for wine lovers to engage in activities such as hand-disgorging yeast lees, walking through the vineyards and of wine tasting. The wine festival which will be held for 12 days starting from the 14th of October, will be involving more than 30 winegrowers.

Speaking about the festival, Queenstown wine enthusiast and event manager Bruce McGechan said, “This is where people don’t just go to a cellar door and taste wine, you can actually get absolutely immersed in the wine culture in the vineyards and the wineries.”
