While jet skiing is one of the most popular water sports in Phuket, operators of this activity have had new rules to which they have to adhere, especially during the high season. Among the new regulations is the fact that jet ski operators will have to keep jet-skis in special roped-off areas by the water and not on the beach itself. One of the main areas where these regulations will come into play would be in Patong and travellers in search of Phuket luxury hotels within easy reach of this coastal hotspot can consider staying at Anantara Phuket Layan Resort & Spa. Among the other measures that are set to come into place is the designation of special roped-off zones for swimming, with each zone covering a 150 metre area on the beach and extending into the water for 50 metres.
