Phuket’s National Park is set to go through an eco-makeover. A variety of new facilities will be added in addition to planting new trees. The existing office building will be rebuilt as a proper tourist center. These constructions and refurbishments will be done using the fees charged from visitors to the park. As part of this eco-tourism project, local fishermen who are not allowed to fish in national park waters will be recruited as tour guides. Those planning to visit the region and stay at Phuket luxury hotels can consider an option such as Anantara Phuket Layan Resort & Spa.
