A unique event that took place under the cover of night, Phuket’s first international night run provided more than 1,000 runners a one of a kind experience. Organised by Saphan Hin magazine, the event was held on 1st November and featured a course through the charming streets of Phuket Old Town. Visitors planning to catch such an event held in this part of the island and looking for Phuket luxury hotels within easy reach of the Old Town can consider Anantara Phuket Layan Resort & Spa.
This international night run kicked off at 10:30 pm, with athletes running along an 11.2 km course. There was also a fun run organised with participants being able to dress up in various colourful costumes and paraphernalia. A fascinating aspect of the race was the inclusion of photo stations where runners could take pictures of themselves, while the runner with the best fancy dress outfit received a special prize too.
