New Thailand Tourism Campaign for 2022 – “Test and Go” Programme Also Restarted

As highlighted on the Bangkok Post news website in November 2021, the Thai cabinet approved a new campaign that would help get local tourism back on track. Named “Visit Thailand Year 2022”, the campaign is being overseen by the Tourism Authority of Thailand and will focus on bringing in more foreign tourists this year from destinations like India and the Middle East. Those who do visit can look forward to enjoying diverse experiences including in the capital, Bangkok; city hotel options such as the SHA Plus+ certified Pathumwan Princess Hotel offer safe accommodation for them too.

Also, of note is that Thailand restarted its “Test and Go” programme this year providing quarantine-free holidays to fully vaccinated travellers. First launched in November 2021 and paused on 22nd December last year due to the rise in Omicron variant cases, the “Test and Go” programme resumed from 1st February 2022 and featured new entry requirements. With such measures, it will be hoped that more travellers will arrive in the months to come and help boost tourism.
