New Tourism Campaign Launched in Queensland – State Events to Receive Funding Too

In a bid to boost the state’s tourism industry, Queensland launched a special campaign on 25th July 2021 titled “Days Like This”. The $2.4 million campaign was part of Queensland’s economic recovery plan and looked to encourage locals to enjoy some of the state’s best attractions and experiences. These included Hydrofoil tours in the Gold Coast, Millaa Millaa Falls in the Atherton Tablelands Area and Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane; city hotels in the heart of Queensland’s capital such as Oaks Brisbane Casino Tower Suites provide an ideal base to visit this site.

Queensland’s tourism industry received another boost in September 2021 when it was announced that 23 events in the state would be given funding totalling $581,500. This was part of the Queensland Destination Events Program (QDEP) and will cover events between January and May next year; they include Rockynats Car Festival, Moreton Bay Multisport Festival and the Cooly Classic Ocean Swim.
