Along with the thriving relationship between China and Sri Lanka, the Sri Lanka Tourism Board has recently launched a special travel guide in Chinese to help the influx of Chinese tourists visiting the country. A guidebook on ‘Consular Protection and Assistance’, this special travel guide was launched with the aim of increasing Chinese tourism to the country and also to support the Chinese expats living in Sri Lanka.
The guidebook comes in three parts, the first being on Sri Lanka law and regulation (information such as Visa, customs and foreign currency). The second part would mostly include information such as shopping, medical facilities, and the most frequently used websites. The third and final part revolves around common knowledge of consular protection in Sri Lanka.
Chinese tourists have many accommodation options such as holiday bungalows in Nuwara Eliya similar to the likes of Amaya Langdale Nuwara Eliya, to stay at when they visit the island, and they now have this guidebook to help them explore the country with ease.
