New Visa Schemes Launched In Thailand – Effort to Promote Tourism

Thailand has introduced new visa schemes aimed at boosting tourism and attracting more visitors to the country. Starting from August, citizens of 31 countries can obtain a 15-day visa upon arrival for a fee of 2,000 baht.

Additionally, nationals from 93 countries can now enjoy visa-free entry for stays of up to 60 days. These new schemes offer greater flexibility and convenience for travellers planning to visit Thailand, whether staying long-term at apartment suites or short-term at 4 star hotels in Bangkok, including accommodation in the heart of the city, such as Tinidee Trendy Bangkok Khaosan.

For those seeking longer stays, the Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) is available for digital nomads and remote workers. This visa allows for stays of up to 90 days and can be extended for an additional 90 days. Students can also benefit from the Non-Immigrant ED Plus visa, which allows for stays of up to 270 days.

These new visa schemes are expected to attract more visitors to Thailand and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
