New Year’s Eve Celebrations at the Cairns Esplanade – Fun Run to Be Held as Well

Special celebrations have been planned to ring in the New Year in Cairns which will offer a carnival-like event for young and old alike. It will take place on 31st December 2021 at the Cairns Esplanade where you will find properties like Oaks Cairns Hotel and will feature various attractions including fireworks displays at 9:00pm and midnight. Additionally, it will be an alcohol-free event making it ideal for families.

Taking place at the Cairns Esplanade’s northern end, this 4 km fun run is scheduled to begin at 5:00pm. This year, the event will pay homage to the efforts of dedicated frontline workers during the pandemic; runners are being encouraged to don superhero costumes, while prizes will be awarded to the first female and male to complete the run as well as the best-dressed human and dog!
