New Zealand Hopes to Uplift Tourism – Travel Bubble with Australia a Key Step

Amongst the nations that have successfully battled against the spread of COVID-19, New Zealand is looking to get tourism back on track. A positive step was taken between the country and its trans-Tasman neighbour, Australia, this April with the launch of a travel bubble; this gave citizens of both nations a chance to cross borders and is an optimistic start to the resumption of international travel.

New Zealand has also been heavily promoting domestic tourism. As reported by Radio New Zealand (RNZ) on its website on 6th June 2021, Tourism New Zealand will continue marketing Aotearoa (Māori name for New Zealand) to its citizens; in fact, it has been reported that an extra $1.1 billion was spent by New Zealanders on domestic travel when compared with pre-pandemic levels. From exploring Auckland to staying at the best ski resort Queenstown has to offer for adventure holidays including properties like Oaks Queenstown Club Suites, there’s much to experience for domestic travellers.
