No More COVID-19 Travel Restrictions in Thailand – Tourists Also Offered Extended Stays

Following the approval of the Centre of COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) in Thailand, all COVID-19 travel restrictions put in place for tourists were lifted from 1st October 2022. As per the new guidelines, international travellers do not have to show a negative result of an ATK test taken before embarkation or proof of vaccination on arrival. Right in time for the busy holiday season, tourists can enjoy their winter holidays here once more on a stay at a luxury hotel Phuket has to offer on this popular island. Beachside properties such as SAii Laguna Phuket let guests experience the best of this destination while strict health and sanitisation measures are in place too.

In a further boost for the tourism industry, Thailand announced that it was offering extended stays of up to 15 more days for travellers. As per the new regulations, those eligible for visa exemption can now enjoy holidays here of up to 45 days, while tourists that come under the Visa on Arrival category can stay for 30 days; such extensions are valid up till 31st March 2023 and it will be hoped that it will lead to more arrivals in the months to come.
