In a vital boost for the local tourism industry, Thailand removed all travel restrictions pertaining to the pandemic a few months ago, paving the way for more arrivals during the holiday season. The last remaining regulations were halted from 1st October 2022 which was confirmed by the Tourism Authority of Thailand; inbound travellers thus, no longer need to show proof of their vaccination status or a negative result of an ATK test.
Also of note is that travellers from certain nations such as the United States are exempt from needing a visa to enter; they only need to show a tourist passport that’s valid for at least six months after arrival and a return or onward airline ticket. Tourists can now look to easily spend the holiday season and the upcoming new year in popular Thai destinations such as Koh Samui; luxury hotel options here beside the beach such as SAii Koh Samui Choengmon provide safe accommodation too with stringent health and hygiene protocols being adopted.
