Northwest China’s Xi’an opens air travel to all Central Asian nations – Spreading Its Wings To the World!

In a historic move, the Northwest Shaanxi province, Xi’an, became the first city to have air routes open to all five Central Asian countries, after it opened one to Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, on May 18th. Now, a total of 11 flights travel to and from Xi’an and the Central Asian nations. Airport officials revealed that the aim is to operate at least 30 routes to Central and Western Asia, as well as Central and Eastern Europe, all within the next 3 years.

With the 10-year anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) upcoming this year, it is evident that Xi’an has fervently integrated itself into the BRI and focused on transport infrastructure as well as accommodation. Xian has serviced apartments such as the Citadines Gaoxin Xi An that are comfortable spaces for visitors, whether they’re in the region to attend summits, such as the China-Central Asia summit that took place this year, or relaxing on holiday.
