Oman expects to raise its contribution to GDP by tourism by 5%

The Oman Vision 2040 prioritizes economic diversification, and one of the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism’s goals is to revitalize the industry in the upcoming years. The government also wants to give diplomatic missions a significant role in promoting trade promoting the Sultanate of Oman as a tourist destination and a desirable place to invest. By 2030, the Sultanate of Oman wants the tourist industry’s share of the GDP to reach 5%.

The Ministry’s plans for the establishment of projects in Al Jabal Al Akhdhar in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate include a restaurant, a glass walkway, outdoor seating and a children’s play area among similar plans in other areas. Many Oman business hotels in the region are popular among travellers from around the world such as Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort which will benefit from these developments.
